1. LUNCH MENU: today-Chicken Tenders

2. On Wednesday, during study hall, we are going to label all chromebook chargers. All students need to bring their chromebooks and chargers to school on Wednesday.

3. Today through Wednesday, student council will be taking orders for treat bags. The cost is $1 each and may be purchased during 7th and 8th grade lunches. Treat bags will be delivered on Oct. 29th, so buy a treat for a friend, a staff member, or even for yourself.

4. Attention 7th & 8th grade girls who are interested in playing basketball for McCormick. There will be an informational meeting during Study Hall tomorrow in the Auditorium. Tryouts will begin next week on Thursday, October 28th and Friday, October 29th from 3:00pm-5:00pm in the gymnasium. Please see Ms. Jackson or Ms. Taraschke if you have any questions

5. Junior High school basketball cheer clinic & tryouts will be held at Woodlands today and tomorrow from 5:00pm to 6:15pm. All forms must be completed in order to participate in the clinic and tryouts. Packets are available in the office.

6. Mark Ramunno, from State Street Financial, will be our Future Friday’s presenter this Friday. Come learn about a career in finance and investments.

7. This Friday marks the end of the first quarter. Grade cards will be distributed next Friday.

8. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
TEENtober is a nationwide celebration hosted by libraries every October in honor of library teens and teen programs! At the Huron Public Library, teens can check out a new activity each week after school in the YA area. Stop by this week for some Wii Game Play to play some classic games.

Like writing? Write your part of the story for our Library collection with Huron Stories: Community Journals! Each journal has a special topic– including Pet Stories, Sketches, and even Something Scary. Read what others wrote, add your own entry, and then check out another one. Once a journal is full, it will be placed on our shelves for others to enjoy for years to come! All ages are welcome to participate. Find the display in the main lobby.

Need volunteer hours? Want to improve the Library and your community for students just like you? Join the nextTeen Library Council monthly meeting on Zoom video chat on Monday, October 25 at 4 pm to share your thoughts. Earn service hours by participating. Get spooky at the Library on Tuesday, October 24 at 6:30 pm -OR- 7 pm at our annual TRICK or READING program for children ages 3 and up! Volunteers will read Halloween books at different locations throughout the Library and distribute some fun treats. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes for a ghoulish good time.

If you're looking for a more fast-paced classic game, join fellow players for Euchre Night on Wednesday, October 27 starting at 6:30 pm.

Make a plan to visit the Library for more Halloween fun on Friday, October 29 for our Transylvania Friday Movie Marathon featuring all three Transylvania movies. The Library will be open from 9:30 am - 5 pm today and the movies will play on repeat ALL DAY LONG!
