  1.  Today’s lunch is Pulled Pork.


  1. Student Council will be taking orders for treat bags. The cost for each bag is $1, and students may order them at lunch on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Bags will be delivered at the end of the day on Oct. 31st.


  1. Student Council is sponsoring a Halloween Costume contest on Tuesday, October 31st.  Prizes will be given for Scariest, Most Detailed, Best Group, Funniest, Most Original/Creative and Best Overall.  No weapons, face paint or masks permitted.


  1. Ripcho Studios will be at McCormick on Wednesday for picture retakes.  If you were absent on picture day in August, plan to have your picture taken.  Order forms are in the office if you need one. If you have received your pictures and are not happy with them, please remember to bring those with you on October 25 to give to the photographer so you may have your picture retaken.


  1. This Friday marks the end of the first quarter grading period.  Please be sure fees/lunch charges are paid.  Grade cards will be distributed next Friday


  1. Reminder: 6th grade travel basketball tryouts are on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:40pm - 9:00pm @ Woodlands. If you have not registered yet and want to attend please see Mr. Miller

 

  1. Junior High Girls Basketball will start October 27, with an informational meeting and open gym at Woodlands from 2:45-4:15.  Tryouts will be held from Monday, October 30 to Wednesday, November 1 from 6:30-8:00pm at Woodlands.  You must have a current physical on file to participate in the open gym, tryouts, and the season.  Any questions please contact Coach Bauer and/or Coach Hotz.


  1. 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball tryouts will be held November 6th and 7th from 5pm-7pm at Woodlands Elementary. You must have a current physical in order to participate.  If you have not already signed up and want to attend please see Mr. Miller or Mr. Demos.


  1. McCormick Students show respect to adults. They always respond to adults by saying things like “yes ma’am” or “no sir.” Just nodding your head or saying any other form of yes or no is not acceptable. 


  1. McCormick Students - Do not show disrespect with gestures.


  1. Are you working to stay in the game?  All students who have a 98% attendance rate for the school year will be entered into a drawing for Browns tickets. Also the grade level with the highest attendance rate for the quarter will win an award. Currently the 6th grade is in the lead with an attendance rate of 99.5%. Grades 7 & 8 are right behind them with rates of 99.23% and 99.05%.  Great job everyone.   This is the last week of the quarter so make sure you are coming to school each day.
