  1.  Today’s lunch is Pizza.


  1. Reminders:  Cell phones are to be locked in your locker all day!

                       Charged Chromebooks must be brought to school every day!

                       Follow the dress code - wear appropriate clothing & footwear - Including

            Crocs in sport mode 4 wheel drive!


  1. Student Council will be taking orders for treat bags. The cost for each bag is $1, and students may order them at lunch on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, next week. Bags will be delivered at the end of the day on Oct. 31st.


  1. Attention 6th graders:

Are you interested in science, technology, engineering, art, and math? Well, we have a club for you! STEAM Club starts today after school with Mr. Haplea and Mrs. LaCrosse. We meet for fun experiments, activities, and projects from 2:30pm - 4:00pm today! You don't have to sign up, just show up to Room 103 at 2:30pm and have a ride ready for pick up at 4:00pm. 


  1. Ripcho Studios will be at McCormick on Wednesday, October 25, for picture retakes.  If you were absent on picture day in August, plan to have your picture taken.  Order forms are in the office if you need one. If you have received your pictures and are not happy with them, please remember to bring those with you on October 25 to give to the photographer so you may have your picture retaken.


  1. Reminder: 6th grade travel basketball tryouts are next week on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:40pm - 9:00pm @ Woodlands. If you have not registered yet and want to attend please see Mr. Miller

 

  1. Junior High Girls Basketball will start October 27, with an informational meeting and open gym at Woodlands from 2:45-4:15.  Tryouts will be held from Monday, October 30 to Wednesday, November 1 from 6:30-8:00pm at Woodlands.  You must have a current physical on file to participate in the open gym, tryouts, and the season.  Any questions please contact Coach Bauer and/or Coach Hotz.


  1. 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball tryouts will be held November 6th and 7th from 5pm-7pm at Woodlands Elementary. You must have a current physical in order to participate.  If you have not already signed up and want to attend please see Mr. Miller or Mr. Demos.


  1. Students let's THINK before you speak. Make sure whatever it is that you have to say passes the THINK Test prior to saying it.

  1. McCormick Students - Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough and say excuse me.


  1. Are you working to stay in the game?  All students who have a 98% attendance rate for the school year will be entered into a drawing for Browns tickets. Also the grade level with the highest attendance rate for the quarter will win an award. Currently the 6th grade is in the lead with an attendance rate of 99%. Grades 7 & 8 are right behind them with rates of 98.56% and 98.39%.  Great job everyone.   Make sure you are coming to school each day.
