2. REMINDERS AGAIN:  

    -CHARGED Chromebooks must be brought to school everyday.  

    -Dress code must be followed. 

    -Cell phones are to be kept locked in your locker.

               -Do not bring glass water bottles/containers to school

3. Student Council Members, please check google classroom for the latest updates and for upcoming committee meetings.

4. Attention Jr. Honor Society Members, there will be a meeting on Thursday, during 8th grade study hall. All members are expected to attend.

5. Reminder to volleyball players - turn in your uniform and bag to Mrs. Wennes by Friday.

6. Cross country uniforms must be turned in to Mrs. LaCrosse by Friday.

7. Ripcho Studios is here today for picture retakes.  If you were absent on picture day in August, plan to have your picture taken.  Order forms are in the office if you need one. If you have received your pictures and are not happy with them, please remember to bring those with you to give to the photographer so you may have your picture retaken.

8. Student Council will be taking orders for treat bags. The cost for each bag is $1, and students may order them at lunch today, Thursday, or Friday. Bags will be delivered at the end of the day on Oct. 31st.

9. This Friday marks the end of the first quarter grading period.  Please be sure fees/lunch charges are paid.  Grade cards will be distributed next Friday

10. Student Council is sponsoring a Halloween Costume contest on Tuesday, October 31st.  Prizes will be given for Scariest, Most Detailed, Best Group, Funniest, Most Original/Creative and Best Overall.  No weapons, face paint or masks permitted.

11. 6th grade boys travel basketball tryouts are Thursday from 7:40pm - 9:00pm at Woodlands. If you have not registered yet and want to attend please see Mr. Miller.

12. 6th grade girls travel basketball tryouts are today and tomorrow from 3:15 - 4:30 at Woodlands.

13. Junior High Girls Basketball will start Friday, with an informational meeting and open gym at Woodlands from 2:45-4:15.  Tryouts will be held from Monday, October 30 to Wednesday, November 1 from 6:30-8:00pm at Woodlands.  You must have a current physical on file to participate in the open gym, tryouts, and the season.  Any questions please contact Coach Bauer and/or Coach Hotz.

14. 7th and 8th grade boys basketball:  The tryout dates have been moved up to next Monday and Tuesday, October 30th and 31st from 2:45-4:45 at Mccormick. Tell your parents to follow Huron Basketball on Twitter, Instagram, and facebook for updates. If you have questions, see Mr. Miller or Mr. Demos.

15. McCormick students remember we want to recognize those students that are performing kind acts. If you notice a student helping someone else, or being extremely kind or compassionate please complete a chain link for them. We want to build a chain of kindness that will stretch throughout our building. Please make sure you are recognizing students that are going out of their way to do something special for someone else by completing a chain link.

17. Are you working to stay in the game?  All students who have a 98% attendance rate for the school year will be entered into a drawing for Browns tickets. Also the grade level with the highest attendance rate for the quarter will win an award. Currently the 6th grade is in the lead with an attendance rate of 99.5%. Grades 7 & 8 are right behind them with rates of 99.23% and 99.05%.  Great job everyone.   This is the last week of the quarter so make sure you are coming to school each day. 

18. Members of the Boy’s High School Soccer Team will be in the cafeteria during lunch periods today to share information about the program and their season.  Please welcome the high school students and offer space for them to sit with you.
