  1. Still bringing home the hardware!

Congrats to the first place finishing girls cross country team as they won the Norwalk Invite! 8th grade runners Brynn Dennis and Peighton Burt both had their course records. Cece Elliott, Autumn Hall, and Sienna Koebel all had season personal records. The boys brought home the second place trophy! Achilles Figuero had a course record, personal record, and finished 2nd overall with a time of 12:15. Brady Warnike, Tony Turovskiy, and Kaden Figeuroa also had personal records for the season.

  1. Also, cross country runners should remember that we are taking a bus to Old Woman Creek today for practice. Get changed and meet at the soccer concession to load up the bus as close to 3:00 as possible. Have a parent pick up ready at Old Woman Creek at the end of practice, 4:30.

  1. Please join us for the 12th Annual “Pink Out”.   It will be a home football game on Friday, October 6th vs. the Vermilion Sailors.  Place an order for a “pink out” shirt or hoodie on line at Lucky Stone.  Order forms are also available in the office and must be returned to Lucky Stone.  By purchasing this apparel, you are joining the effort to make breast cancer go from deadly to treatable and from treatable to preventable!  All proceeds go to The Piggyback Foundation.  Order deadline is OCTOBER 2nd.


  1. The Huron High School Student Council is organizing a fundraiser for Senior Meg Krafty who is battling a medical condition.  If you would like to participate in the fundraiser to support Meg, you can order a #MegStrong t-shirt.  Order forms are in the office.  All proceeds will be donated to her family.  Shirts are encouraged to be worn at the Huron vs. Clyde football game on Friday, October 13.


  1. If you are going on the St. Peter retreat, a permission slip needs to be turned into the office so the absence will be excused.


  1. Parent-teacher conferences are Tuesday, September 26th from 3:00pm-6:00pm and Thursday, October 5th from 3:00pm-7:00pm.  Parents should schedule a conference online at our website.


  1. McCormick Students show respect to adults. They always respond to adults by saying things like “yes ma’am” or “no sir.” Just nodding your head or saying any other form of yes or no is not acceptable.


  1. McCormick Students - After dining in the cafeteria or elsewhere, be responsible for the area in which you eat, pick-up all trash and clean-up all messes.
