  1. Today’s lunch is Pizza.


  1. Notes and lunch money should be brought to the office daily at the beginning of 1st period. 


  1. REMINDERS AGAIN: 

                -Cell phones are to be kept locked in your locker. 

    -CHARGED Chromebooks must be brought to school everyday.  

    -Dress code must be followed. 

        -Do not bring glass water bottles/containers to school


  1. JADA FOSTER, please return your volleyball uniform and bag in to Mrs Wennes.


  1. STEAM Club meets today in Mr. Haplea's room for 7th and 8th graders!

We meet from 2:30-4:00. Please have a ride ready at 4:00. That's STEAM Club this Friday for 7th and 8th graders only in Mr. Haplea's room from 2:30-4:00.


  1. Student Council will be taking orders for treat bags. The cost for each bag is $1, and students may order them at lunch today. Bags will be delivered at the end of the day on Oct. 31st.


  1. Today marks the end of the first quarter grading period.  Please be sure fees/lunch charges are paid.  Grade cards will be distributed next Friday


  1. Student Council is sponsoring a Halloween Costume contest on Tuesday, October 31st.  Prizes will be given for Scariest, Most Detailed, Best Group, Funniest, Most Original/Creative and Best Overall.  No weapons, face paint or masks permitted.

 

  1. Junior High Girls Basketball will start today, with an informational meeting and open gym at Woodlands from 2:45-4:15.  Tryouts will be held from Monday, October 30 to Wednesday, November 1 from 6:30-8:00pm at Woodlands.  You must have a current physical on file to participate in the open gym, tryouts, and the season.  Any questions please contact Coach Bauer and/or Coach Hotz.


  1. 7th and 8th grade boys basketball:  The tryout dates have been moved up to next Monday and Tuesday, October 30th and 31st from 2:45-4:45 at Mccormick. Tell your parents to follow Huron Basketball on Twitter, Instagram, and facebook for updates. If you have questions, see Mr. Miller or Mr. Demos.


  1. On Wednesday, November 1st, at 2:00, there will be a meeting for 7th and 8th graders interested in Wrestling.


  1. If you win or do well at something, do not brag. If you lose, or do poorly at something do not show anger. Instead McCormick Students say something like, “I really enjoyed the competition, and I look forward to playing against you again,” or “Good Game,” or don’t say anything at all. To show anger or sarcasm, such as “I wasn’t playing hard anyway. You really aren’t that good,” shows weakness. McCormick Students always treat each other with respect. Remember if you do not have something nice to say then don’t say anything at all.  


  1. McCormick Students - Answer all written questions with a complete sentence.


  1. Are you working to stay in the game?  All students who have a 98% attendance rate for the school year will be entered into a drawing for Browns tickets. Also the grade level with the highest attendance rate for the quarter will win an award. Currently the 6th grade is in the lead with an attendance rate of 99.3%. Grades 7 & 8 are right behind them with rates of 99.05% and 98.96%.  Great job everyone.   We have one more day after today left in the quarter so make sure you are coming to school. Winning grade greats prize.

 

  1. Students attending this evening's playoff game tickets are on sale online at www.ohsaa.org, click on Tickets. Prices are: Students $9, Adults $12,  $15 cash at the gate. All tickets sold at the gate tonight are $15.
