HURON HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS - MONDAY, DECEMBER 12,  2016

1.  The Girls and Boys swim teams competed at the 11 team A-Behr Invitational on Saturday in Sandusky.  The boys team finished 4th while the girls team finished 7th. Leading the way for the Tigers were Emma Golling, Riley Roldan, Melissa Wirtz, Cassie Battiste, Elijah Hart, Rowan Roshong, Max Hardy and Marc Dieter.

Attention all Juniors going on the class trip: The second payment of $200 is due Friday.

3.  Navy ROTC: Attention Students:  Kelsey Ohm, a former HHS graduate and now midshipman in the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps at The George Washington University will be visiting Monday, January 9th at 10:00 a.m. in the Tiger Union. She will be providing information about how you can apply for a 100% full tuition scholarship applicable for many schools, while explaining what ROTC is and sharing her own personal experiences.  Stop into the Guidance office to sign up.

4.  Reminder:  Youth Coalition forms are due to the Guidance office by December 16th.


5.  Tuesday through Friday of this week, the After Prom committee will be selling candy grams for $1 during lunch.  This is a fundraiser for the After Prom committee.  The candy grams will be passed out before Christmas break.  Don't miss out on sending your friends a candy gram!

6. 
Help us spread happiness this Christmas by being a part of Project Happy-Christmas.  We are asking that you join us in purchasing, filling and wrapping ONE shoe box for children in Erie County. Return it to a participating church/business/school or one of the drop spots listed on flyers posted around school.  Shoe boxes need to be collected by December 15th.
7.  Lunch today is General Tso chicken.
