ANNOUNCEMENTS - WEDNESDAY, MAY 18, 2016

1.  Attention students seeking volunteer hours!

The Friends of the Huron Public Library are looking for helping hands to set up and tear down their Book Sale at the Huron Library. Volunteers would be asked to move boxes out of storage and alphabetize or organize books according to subject.Volunteers are needed on Thursday, June 2 beginning at 9 AM and again on Monday, June 6 beginning at 9 AM. There is a sign-up sheet for volunteers at the Huron Library, just ask an employee at the circulation desktop sign-up.


2.  Attention any student interested in running cross country next fall.  There will be a brief meeting in Coach Blevins' classroom after school on Thursday.  Please plan on attending.

3.  Just a reminder there will be no more charging allowed in the cafeteria for this school year. 

4.  For anyone interested in Tigerettes - tryouts will be held on Tuesday, May 31 (5-7:30) and Wednesday, June 1 (9-12) in the high school band room.

JV Baseball Players are to turn in their washed uniforms today at 2:30PM in Room 104 to Coach Hohler.

Varsity players are to turn in their vests and pinstripe uniforms also today at 2:30PM.  Keep your red uniforms for the remaining games.  If you have any questions, see Coach Hohler.
6.  Attention Class of 2017!  For those current juniors who missed the recent assembly given by our school's senior photographer, Prestige Portraits, please visit the office and pick-up information about your upcoming Senior Portraits and how to be included in your Senior yearbook!

7.  Huron Rotary's Interact Club is accepting membership applications.  The Interact Club is trying to better the world through community and global projects.  If you are interested in joining, please pick up an application form in the office or contact Grace Moser for more information.  The forms are due back to the office by May 19, 2016.

8.  If you are a student under the age of 18 and are planning on securing a summer job, you will need a work permit.  These are located outside the high school office.  There's a portion to be filled out by your parent, the employer and on the back is where you need a physician's signature stating you are able to perform the job.  The physician's signature is needed only if you DO NOT have a valid physical on file in the high school office already.  Once the form is completed, please drop that off to the high school office.  Usually the work permit (which you will need to sign) will be ready for you that afternoon or the following day.  Please plan accordingly.  Stop in with any questions.

9.  Senior scholarship recipients are reminded - in order to have the scholarship check sent to your respective college you will need to get a copy of your bursar bill, college student id number as well as a copy of the award letter to Mrs. Enderle.  If you have any questions, please stop into the office.

10.  Lunch today is Italian calzones or a toasted pizza sub.
