1. February Chess Tournaments for Middle (grades 5 - 8) and High School students (grades 9 - 12) will be on Saturday, February 4th from 9am - 4pm at the Huron Public Library. Entry fee of $1 covers food, drink and awards. Registration required by January 28.

2. Please check the lost and found for any items you may have lost. Items that are not claimed by the end of the day tomorrow will be donated to the Huron Goodwill.

3. Remember to bring in box tops. Funds from the box tops collected at McCormick will be used here at McCormick.

4. Parent Teacher Conferences are on Tuesday, February 21st from 5:00-8:00.

5. All Power of the Pen members: Mrs. Aber needs firm confirmation of who will be attending Saturday’s tournament. Stop by Mrs. Aber’s room today and print your name on the tablet you will see on the round table exactly as you wish to be officially recorded for the tournament. We will meet Friday for a final writing meeting before Saturday’s tournament.

6. Huron City Schools will be hosting their annual College Credit Plus Informational Meeting for all Huron students (currently in grades 6-11) and parents who are interested in learning more about the College Credit Plus Program through Huron City Schools on February 8th at 7:00pm in the McCormick Jr. High Auditorium.
