HURON HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS - FRIDAY, JANUARY 27, 2017

1.  Attention Seniors:  If you do not take an English class here at the high school, you will need to make an appointment for today to meet with Mrs. Fahr during periods 1, 2 (in Ms. Kukay's room) or 4th-6th periods in the Student Union to receive scholarship information along with a copy of your unofficial transcript.

2. 
Tune in or set your dvr to channel 5 at 7 p.m. tomorrow night (Saturday) to watch the Huron High School Academic Challenge team compete on television.   Huron takes on Tuscarawas Valley and James A. Garfield at starting at 7 p.m.

3.  New scholarship available to Seniors:

VacationLand FCU ScholarshipSeniors who are VacationLand FCU members are eligible to apply for one of six $500 scholarships. Applications are available in the Guidance office and at their website www.vlfcu.org.  DEADLINE MARCH 31, 2017

Christopher G. Perrin Scholarship - Award of $1,000 available to students  who are highly motivated and of good character with at least a 2.0 GPA.  Applications are available in the Guidance office.  DEADLINE TO APPLY IS APRIL 7, 2017.

HomeLight ScholarshipAwarded to a talented students who share their passion for improving the world of real estate and who hold an interest in homes and homeownership. Eligible areas of study include: designing homes, building homes, and housing and economic studies. 4.  The U.S. Air Force will be visiting Friday, February 10th at 10:00 a.m. in the Tiger Union. Sign up is available now in the Guidance office.

5.  Huron High School's Sadie Hawkins Winter Dance will be Saturday, January 28, at Woodlands from 8-10pm.  Tickets are $10 and are being sold during lunches through Friday.  The proceeds for this event go towards Prom and AfterProm.  Students wishing to bring someone from another school must stop by the office to get appropriate paperwork.  Girls traditionally wear black dresses and guys wear all black with a colored tie.  Whether you're going with a date or with friends, come out next Saturday night to have a great time and to support a good cause.

6.  Attention all students: The deadline for the first round of EHOVE applications is Feb. 3rd.  Please go to EHOVE.net to apply if you are interested.  See Mrs. Fahr if you have any questions!

7.  Lunch today is macaroni & cheese.
