1. Parent Teacher Conferences are on Tuesday, February 21st from 5:00-8:00.

2. Huron City Schools will be hosting their annual College Credit Plus Informational Meeting for all Huron students (currently in grades 6-11) and parents who are interested in learning more about the College Credit Plus Program through Huron City Schools on February 8th at 7:00pm in the McCormick Jr. High Auditorium.

3. The Huron Public Library is hosting a chess tournament THIS Saturday at 9 am for middle and high school players. Cost is $1. Food provided, and trophies awarded. Register today to be included.www.huronlibrary.org or 419-433-5009.

4. The Huron Public Library's Teen Library Council meets Sunday, February 5 at 2 pm.

5. Power of the Pen club will NOT meet today, but will resume the following Friday, Feb. 10th. Writers, please bring me your judging sheets and stories from last Saturday's tournament.

6. Students who received an invitation to apply for membership in McCormick Junior Honor Society, please take that letter and application form home to share with your parent/guardian, and be aware that the final turn-in date for your Student Activities Information Form and Essay is Wednesday, February 15.
