HURON HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS - THURSDAY, JANUARY 19, 2017

1.  Attention all students who took the PSAT: Mrs. Fahr will be meeting with you TODAY at 7:40 this morning in the Tiger Union to go over your PSAT results! Please be sure to attend.


2.  The Tiger Swim teams were in action last night in Sandusky vs St. Mary's. Although the girls team suffered a 95-73 setback, the boys team battled to a narrow two point victory 86-84. Finishing first for the Tigers were: Emma Golling, Riley Roldan, Julia Hastings and McKenzi Smercina for the girls and Elijah Hart, Riki Tanaka, Derek Griffin, Marc Dieter and Jay Lesnett for the boys. The Lady Tigers stand at 2-5 for the season while the boys are 6-1. They will be in action this Saturday in Tiffin for a quad meet.

3.  Members of Interact Club are reminded there is a meeting this Friday, January 20, right after school in the Student Union.

Students serving on the Superintendent cabinet - there will be a meeting this Friday at noon.

5.  Huron High School's Sadies Winter Formal will be next Saturday, January 28, at Woodlands from 8-10pm.  Tickets are $10 and will be sold during lunch next week.  The proceeds for this event go towards Prom and AfterProm.  Students wishing to bring someone from another school must stop by the office to get appropriate paperwork.  Girls traditionally wear black dresses and guys wear all black with a colored tie.  Whether you're going with a date or with friends, come out next Saturay night to have a great time and to support a good cause.

Teen Library Council of the Huron Public Library meets this Sunday, January 22 at 2 pm. Members are reminded to bring book recommendations for the upcoming "Blind Date with a Book" February display.

February Chess Tournaments for Middle (grades 5 - 8) and High School (grades 9 - 12) on Saturday, February 4 from 9 am - 4 pm. Entry fee of $1 covers food, drink and awards. Registration required by January 28.

7.  Reminder to all students that grade cards will be withheld if student fees, fines, etc. are not taken care of prior to Friday, January 20.  Stop into the high school office with any questions.

8.  Attention all students: The deadline for the first round of EHOVE applications is Feb. 3rd.  Please go to EHOVE.net to apply if you are interested.  See Mrs. Fahr if you have any questions!

9.  Any student interested in attending EHOVE Shadow Day on Feb. 2nd needs to see Mrs. Fahr in the Counseling Office by Jan. 20 (this Friday) for more information!

10.  Lunch today is a buffalo chicken wrap.
