HURON HIGH SCHOOL
FRIDAY, JANUARY 22, 2016

1.  Baseball open gym will be this Saturday morning at Woodlands Gym.  Freshman and sophomores will be 8-9AM, juniors and seniors will be 9-10AM.

The Huron Public Library Teen Library Council meets this Sunday at 2:45 pm.

3.  New scholarship available in the Guidance Office:

VACATIONLAND FEDERAL CREDIT UNION – Several $500 awards available to high school seniors who plan to participate in post-secondary studies at a professional, vocational, or academic institution.  Eligibility is based on applicants being a primary account holder of a regular or minor account with VLFCU.  Stop into the Guidance office for more information.  DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MARCH 31, 2016.

New Community Service Opportunity!  Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for volunteers to help manage the coat room at the Taste of North Coast at Kalahari next Wednesday,
January 27th from 5-8:30pm.  Any students interested should stop into the Guidance Office.

5.  Attention all Seniors who are 17 and older and in good standing:  You may apply to work at the polls for the upcoming Ohio Primary election on Tuesday, March 15.  Applications are available in room 206 and are due back by to Mrs. Merckens today.
 
6Attention all students interested in applying to EHOVE: The deadline to apply for 1st round applications is Feb. 5th.  Please make sure to submit your application online today at www.ehove.net if you are interested in attending!

7.  Parking tags for the 15-16 school year are now sold out.  If you still wish to drive to school, but do not have a parking tag, you can park behind the football stadium.
8.  Lunch today is a corn dog or a buffalo chicken wrap.
