1.  Congratulations to the following choir students who participated in Solo and Ensemble on Saturday:

Receiving an Excellent rating was Jaelie Grznar
Receiving Superior ratings were: The Troubadours, Nathan Hoty, Faith Hofacker, Hannah Hastings, Rachel Stadler, The Women's Ensemble, Andrew Thorpe, Jarod Mayle, and Cassie Battiste.

Congratulations to all of those Huron band students that participated in solo and ensemble on Saturday, February 13th. The following students were awarded an excellent rating: Carl Hastings, Faith Hofacker, Damian Wennberg, Carl Hastings, Charlotte Tyree, Nick Salters, and Aubrey Baumler. The following students were awarded the highest rating, superior: Baylee DeFazio, Ashlyn Ohm, Jordan Prosser, Faith Hofacker, Aubrey Baumler, Maggie Nelson, Carl Hastings, Val Werner, Allison Fraser, Aaron Wise, Phil Jones, Jacob Clark, Charlotte Tyree, Maria DiVita, Damian Wennberg, Nick Salters, Robbie Smith, Jacob Payton, Bennett Arthur, Aaron Hoff, Nick Stutzman, and Hunter Garbe.
2.  New scholarships available in Guidance office:

BigSun SCHOLARSHIP – $500 scholarship available to high school seniors planning to attend a post secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution or in the community.  Stop in the Guidance office for more information and by visiting their website at http://www.bigsunathletics.com. DEADLINE JUNE 17, 2016.

AMERICANISM SCHOLARSHIP – The American Legion Auxiliary is awarding a $500 scholarship to high school seniors of good moral character, have financial need, and a relative of a military veteran, living or deceased.  DEADLINE MARCH 11, 2016.

3.  Attention freshmen and upper class men, Jostens will be here to take class ring orders today during lunch periods in the cafeteria. Please be sure to take advantage of any order day promotions and discounts.  Extra packets are available in the high school office.
4.  There will be a mandatory meeting for anyone interested in playing baseball this season on Thursday, 2/18, at 2:30pm in room 104.  See Coach Hohler if you have any questions.

Attention all students registering for CCP classes for next year.  There is a change in the assignment of add-on/GPA bumps for CCP courses beginning in 2016-2017.  Any CCP course in English, Math, Science or Social Studies (including Psych and Sociology) will receive a grade bump.  Other classes outside the core classes will not receive that bump.  Please keep that in mind as you schedule for next year.

6.  Signups for the Huron Baseball Softball program will be held at the Huron Eagles on Sunday, February 21 and Sunday, March 6 from 1-4pm.  If you are interested in participating, please stop by the high school office for more information.

7.  Any boy or girl that missed the track meeting may pick up a packet in the high school office or from Coach Lemponen.  Return finished forms to the office. 

8.  Attention all Seniors: Honor cord applications are available in the Guidance Office NOW!  You will need to attach a copy of your unofficial transcript to each application.  All applications are due by Feb. 19th at 2:45pm.

9.  Lunch today is chicken nuggets & mashed potatoes or a toasted Italian sub.
