1. Attention all Seniors: This is a reminder that all local scholarship applications are due Friday, March 4th by 7:25 am
to the table outside of the Guidance Office. Please remember that the
Scholarship Tracking Form should be on top of each application packet,
and all packets are to be stapled, not paper clipped. No local
scholarship applications will be accepted after Friday at 7:25am.
2. New
scholarships added to HHS website: Jesse & Lynn Hagy Memorial
Scholarship - must have a 3.2 cumulative GPA, planning to pursue a
degree in Education or Healthcare, participated in four extra curricular
activities, and an active participant in community service. Deadline to apply is April 1st.
BGSU FIRELANDS SCHOLARSHIPS – A wide variety of annual awards are available to
both full and part-time students.
Recipients must be admitted to the University; be enrolled in fall
courses at BGSU Firelands, and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA during the effective
period of award. Application forms
can be found at https://sfa.bgsu.edu/sa/firelands.
DEADLINE MAY 1, 2016.
Attention any students applying for the American Legion Auxiliary
Scholarship: Do NOT send applications to the American Legion. They have
requested that applications are to be turned into the Guidance office.

Reminder for all basketball players to turn in their uniforms to Coach Schaeffer.
4. If you participated in a winter sport and would like to keep your locker decoration, please know that on Friday, March 4th, all decorations still hanging up will be disposed of by the custodians.
5. This Friday during 1st and 2nd periods, pictures will be taken in the gym of all school organizations/groups.
If you are a member of a group, please make sure to check with your
advisor about wearing anything "special" for the pictures.
Attention all 1st semester TLC students: Please wear khakis or black pants with your blue TLC pullover for pictures on Friday morning!
6. Attention all registered voters: There are example ballot displays
around the building so that you can see all of the candidates running
within each party. You can only choose one party ballot on March 15. Remember: You have to prepare since they make you declare!
7. Cedar Point will be conducting open interviews for summer jobs on Sunday, March 6th, at Castaway Bay (located at 2001 Cleveland Rd in Sandusky) from 10am-3pm.
8. Academic
letter applications are now available in the high school office. You
must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 to
apply. The deadline to apply is April 1st. Please return forms to the high school office.
9. Signups for the Huron Baseball Softball program will be held at the Huron Eagles Sunday, March 6 from 1-4pm. If you are interested in participating, please stop by the high school office for more information.
10. Lunch today is chicken nuggets & mashed potatoes or a toasted pizza sub.
