HURON HIGH SCHOOL

1. The swimming and diving teams
concluded their seasons at BGSU over the weekend. District qualifiers
Nick Swope, Bennett Arthur, Zack Baker, Derek Griffin, Elijah Hart, Riki
Tanaka, Marc Dieter and Rowan Roshong joined divers Alyssa Fisher,
Cassie Battiste and Meredith Mast. The boys Medley Relay and 200
Freestyle Relay both finished on the podium while Derek Griffin had a
podium finish in the 100 backstroke.The 45 members of the team thank you
for your support.
2. Any student or teacher interested in seeing a performance of Cinderella on Friday, Feb. 26, please pick up an informational letter in the main office by the end of school today.
3. Presale
tickets for Tuesday's boys sectional basketball game, to be played at
Willard High School, are available in the high school office. Adults
are $6 and students are $4 presale. All tickets at the door will be $6.
4. Attention all students who are 16 and older: There is presently a Blood
Emergency in our area, and NHS is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive
Wednesday, Feb. 24
with appointments from 8-1. NHS members will be scheduling potential
donors during study halls and at lunch. Please give the gift of life
and donate blood! See Mrs. Merckens or James Faunda with questions.
5. There will be a mandatory informational parent meeting on Tuesday, March 1, at 7pm in the high school cafeteria for those interested in trying out for football cheerleading.
6. Signups for the Huron Baseball Softball program will be held at the Huron Eagles on Sunday, March 6 from 1-4pm. If you are interested in participating, please stop by the high school office for more information.
7. Lunch today is a barbecued pork sandwich or a buffalo chicken wrap.
