Coffee Connections - Community Engagement Opportunity

Huron Schools and the City of Huron are once again hosting Coffee Connections, their popular public engagement session for citizens of Huron.  Huron Schools superintendent Dennis Muratori and city manager Andy White encourage community members to join them on Saturday February 27 at Gathering Grounds and on Saturday March 12 at Lemmy's for a question and answer opportunity. The pair began offering the public engagement opportunities outside of formal board or council sessions in 2013.

In an effort to improve the efficiency of public services, Coffee Connections provides a platform for ongoing dialogue between the city manager, school officials, and the community. Participants will hear mid-year updates from both school and city officials, along with the opportunity to engage in one-on-one dialogue on important topics. Both White and Muratori believe a collaborative approach provides for more idea sharing and overall better service to the entire community. White will provide those in attendance with an update on projects taking place throughout the city while Muratori will provide information related to the state of the schools, including district finances. Those interested in discussing topics relevant to the city or schools are encouraged to attend the sessions.

Coffee and pastries will be served. The session is open to everyone.
