HURON HIGH SCHOOL
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2016

1.  Congratulations to the Huron High School Academic Challenge team in their defeat of Perkins and Western Reserve on Monday.  The final score of the match was Huron 54, Perkins 38, and Western Reserve 54.  

Their performance in the final round was enough to lift Huron from third place into second in the final regular season standings out of a total of eighteen teams.  Edison was the only team ahead of Huron.   The top three teams will compete in a final championship round to be held over three days in early March. 

2.  A lost & found table has been set up beneath the Freshman bulletin board in the downstairs hallway.  Stop by to check for any items you may be missing.  On Friday, all unclaimed items will be disposed of at the end of the day.

3.  Academic letter applications are now available in the high school office.  You must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 to apply.  The deadline to apply is
April 1st.  Please return forms to the high school office.

4.  There will be a mandatory informational parent meeting on Tuesday, March 1, at 7pm in the high school cafeteria for those interested in trying out for football cheerleading.

5.  Signups for the Huron Baseball Softball program will be held at the Huron Eagles on Sunday, March 6 from 1-4pm.  If you are interested in participating, please stop by the high school office for more information.

6.  Lunch today is a chicken patty sandwich or a buffalo chicken wrap.
