1. The Academic Challenge team completed their season yesterday with an
away match at Edison High School. After the three championship matches,
Norwalk St. Paul finished in 3rd place with 79 points, Huron finished in
2nd with 120 points, and Edison finished first with a score of 152.
Eighteen area schools competed in the program this year.
Congratulations to our students on a very strong season and we look
forward to next year's Firelands Challenge Competition.2. Attention Seniors: Please stop at the table during your lunch period today and next Thursday March 10th and March 17th
to fill out a questionnaire that will be included in a special section
of the Sandusky Register about graduating high school seniors.
3. Attention all Seniors: Honor cords are now posted in the Guidance
Office. Please check the lists for your name. If you do not see your
name, you did not qualify. The deadline to verify is this Friday, March 11th @ 2:45pm. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Fahr or Mrs. Smith.
4. Leadership
Erie County is doing project "Happy Feet" . They are collecting funds
to purchase new shoes for an identified 64 adults in need &
collecting socks for the homeless - any size. Donations may be placed
in the shoe box located in the high school office. Checks can be made
out to Leadership Erie County. Thank you for making a difference!
5. Attention all CCP students. Mr. Janik's replacement has been
hired. Sophia Jackson has taken his place and can be contacted at [email protected]. Please contact her if you have questions.
6. Attention all students wanting to take a UF course next year: UF has
notified HHS that if you have met the reading requirement on the Compass
or Accuplacer test and want to take UF Chem or Anatomy, you can apply
to UF and be considered under "Gateway Review." Your Science teachers
will discuss this in class. If you want to be considered for "Gateway
Review" please apply to UF and then submit your pink intent to
participate form, white course registration form and green CCP tracking
sheet to Mrs. Smith in the Guidance Office by April 1st.
