ANNOUNCEMENTS - FRIDAY, MAY 12, 2017
1. Attention Seniors: Pictures with your college t-shirts Monday, May 15th in the gym, immediately following the morning announcements.
2. Attention top ten percent - Please return the yearbook questionnaire and picture to Mrs. Lee before you leave today!
3. Seniors are reminded to turn in their rules and regulations papers into the high school office. These are due Monday, May 15.
4. Academic Challenge packets are due to Mr Blevins by the end of the day today.
5. Today is the last day for Powder Puff sign-ups at lunch.
6. The Spring Arts Festival will be Tuesday, May 16th. Come listen to the magnificent sounds of the bands, choir and see the talent of the art students! Doors open at 5:30pm. There will be a concession stand so bring your pocket money and enjoy hot dogs, snacks and refreshments!
7. Huron
Interact is now accepting new members. Interact is a club that
organizes projects to better the school, community, and nation.
Applications are available in the office and are due Monday, May 15th.
8. Ohio Forestry & Wildlife Conservation Camp is a one week summer resident camp for high school students June 11th - 16th, 2017 at FFA Camp Muskingum near Carrollton, Ohio. The West Huron Youth Club invites you to their thirteenth annual "Day
in the Outdoors" on Saturday, June 17, from 11am - 3pm. This takes
place at Joe Steinen Wildlife Area on Cleveland Road West in Huron. The
event is open to the public and there is NO admission fee for youth or adults. See the flyer located outside the high school office for more info.
10. Attention all students: EHOVE Summer School applications are available
in the Counseling Office if you are interested in taking a credit
recovery course in Math. Please pick up an application if you are
interested.
11. Seniors if you have any
questions or are unsure if you received a scholarship or merit
invitation, please see Mrs. Smith in the HHS Counseling office.
12. Fisher-Titus Medical Center’s Autism Spectrum Kids (ASK) Program and Pediatric Therapy Department are looking for
committed high school volunteers to help with our annual summer
programs for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Volunteers are
critical to the success of our program. If you are interested there is a handout in the high school office with the full list
of programs, dates, and times that we need
volunteers for.

All Seniors please go to Bennett's Screen Printing this week to order a
senior shirt. They are $15 and need to be ordered and picked up by May
22nd. Know what quote you want on the shirt (school appropriate)
before you go and be ready to pay when you order.
14. BGSU
Firelands students are reminded to turn your course books into
the book store at Firelands College. Whatever books the
college does not take back - those need to be turned in to the high school
office.
15. Attention students and staff who haven't already ordered a 2016-2017 yearbook. The deadline to order a yearbook is Friday, May 19. Either order one online by visiting jostensyearbooks.com, or bring a check in to Mrs. Lee, made out to Huron High School, for $65.
16. Lunch today is mini corn dogs.
With the end of yet another great school year fast approaching, starting Monday May 15th
the cafeteria will no longer allow charging. Please be sure you either
have money on your account or in hand when purchasing items from the
cafeteria. Mrs. Rich will be happy to inform you of your balance if you
need. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to serve you this year.
