  1. If you win or do well at something, do not brag. If you lose, or do poorly at something do not show anger. To show anger or sarcasm, such as “I wasn’t playing hard,” or “you really aren’t that good,” shows weakness. McCormick Students always treat each other with respect. Remember if you do not have something nice to say then don’t say anything at all.

  1. McCormick students always hold the door for people rather than letting it close on them.

  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.

  1. The end of the quarter is only 2 weeks away.  Our quarterly attendance competition is close again this quarter. The average daily attendance for the three grades are 94.8%, 93.5% and 93.2%.  The race is very tight with the 6th grade in a slight lead and 8th grade right behind them.  Stay in the game and come to school each day so your grade can win the reward.  Last quarter the 6th grade won. Who will it be this quarter? We only have 4 days left.

  1. This week we are sponsoring the Stay in the Game Spirit Week.  Tomorrow students will have the opportunity to make their New Year’s resolution regarding staying in the game.  Thursday is dress like your friends and Friday is Brown and Orange day so wear your best browns gear!
