  1. Today’s lunch is Hamburger.


  1. Today,  Woodlands Elementary ROX is hosting a District wide Purple Out and Jeans Day. Please join us in dressing in purple attire to honor the life of Evelyn Bauer, a student of Huron City Schools who passed away suddenly last year. Monetary donations are welcome and appreciated, and will be collected today in your first period class or the main office. The donations will be given to the Bauer family for the nonprofit organization that they created in Evelyn's honor, All for Evelyn.


  1. Only go to the cafeteria in the morning if you are purchasing breakfast.  If you are not purchasing breakfast, go to the auditorium and wait for the bell.


  1. Attention Student Council members, there will be a meeting on Tuesday in Mrs. Rowen's room during 8th grade lunch. All members are expected to attend. 


  1. The end of the second quarter is January 12.  Grade cards will be distributed on January 19.  Please make sure your fees are paid so your grade card is not withheld.


  1. Saturday mornings in February, EHOVE has Youth Enrichment Programs.  Register online at ehove.net beginning Thursday, January 4 through Tuesday, January 30th. Register early.  Class size is limited.   Information is available online at ehove.net and brochures are available in the office.


  1. McCormick students respect their educational environment. They make sure if they see a mess or trash laying around, they do their part by helping to clean it up. Whether in the cafeteria, restroom, hallway or classroom do your part and help to keep our McCormick home neat and orderly to support our learning environment.  


  1. McCormick students if someone drops something and you are close to it, pick it up and lend a helping hand. 


  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.  


  1. The end of the quarter is only 2 weeks away.  Our quarterly attendance competition is close again this quarter. The average daily attendance for the three grades are 94.9%, 93.71% and 93.43%.  The race is very tight with the 6th grade in a slight lead and 8th grade right behind them.  Stay in the game and come to school each day so your grade can win the reward.  Last quarter the 6th grade won. Who will it be this quarter? We only have 6 days left.
