1.  Congratulations to Tommie McDonald and Owen Ryan who both have been selected as Students of the Month for November.  

Tommie's teachers indicated that he always has a positive attitude and works very hard to achieve.

Owen shows excellent participation in his classes.

Students of the month who drive to school can park in the Student of the Month parking spots.  All other students are not permitted in those spots.  

2.  This week, the student of the week is Emma Barnes.  Emma's teachers indicate she shows kindness and respect to everyone and has a fantastic attitude.

3.  The link to purchase tickets for Volleyball, Football, and State Cross Country can be purchased online through this link:   https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets

VB - Adults $12, Students $9 - ticket can also be purchased at the gate for the same price
FB - Adults $12, Students $9 - ticket can also be purchased at the gate for the same price
XC State - Adults $16, Students $13. Tickets will not be on sale at the gate.

4.  The BGSU Firelands advisor is going to be here on Monday, November 6. If you would like to schedule an appointment with her to schedule classes for spring 2024, please go to your school counseling Google Classroom to fill out the appointment form. If you are ONLY TAKING CCP AT HURON HIGH SCHOOL, you do not need an appointment. This is for students taking classes off-campus or online.

5.  Anyone interested in being on the Bowling Team: The 1st practice is 4:00-6:00pm at Riverview Lanes on Monday, 11/6……followed by a parents meeting.  See the main office to get contact information for Coach Poltorek for any questions.

6.  The HHS talent competition is underway! Today's Huron 5 will have two quarterfinal competitions. Be sure to watch Huron 5 on Friday in your WIN class, and use the QR code to vote for your winners! 

One will feature Chris Heidl vs the trio of Jackson McNulty, Cody Scroggins, and Charlie Hardy. The other will feature Mrs. Lee and her daughter vs. Drew Eck. 

7.  Attn: Seniors, the National Letter of Intent Signing day is Wednesday, November 8th. If you plan on signing, please stop by Mr Camella's office to let him know.

8.  Juniors there is still room to sign up for the Junior Class trip.  Please see Mr. Schaeffer in the high school office with any questions.

9.  Tryouts for basketball cheer will be held on Saturday, 11/11, at Woodlands beginning at 8am.  Forms are available in the high school office and need to be turned in on the day of tryouts.

10.  The following colleges/universities are scheduled to come visit Huron High School.  Please sign up in the school counseling office if you are interested in meeting with them.

John Carroll University - Today, November 3 at 9:15am
Defiance College - November 8 at 9:15am
Ohio Business College - November 14 at 9:15am
