  1. Today’s lunch is French Toast Sticks.

  2. Congratulations to Kori Boesch for winning 2nd Place and to Kendra Bronner for winning an Honorable Mention in the Ohio Youth Wildlife Earth Day Contest presented by Erie Metroparks and the Firelands Audubon Society.  Great job!  All of the projects are being displayed in the sixth grade hallway.  Be sure to check out the amazing artwork! 
 
  1. Congratulations and good luck to Ashlyn Budka!  Ashlyn made the state team for her age group in gymnastics and qualified for regionals where she will be competing this weekend.  Be sure to wish her luck! 
 
  1. There will be a STEAM Club meeting this Friday after school in Mr. Haplea’s room.
 
  1. Student Council is sponsoring a Get Ready for the Test Coloring Contest for the month of April.  Coloring sheets may be picked up in the office between class or before study hall and are due by April 30.. Once you have completed the paper, return it to the office with your name and grade written on the back. The top 3 winners in each grade will receive a prize. 
 
  1. Attention 8th grade students, Student Council is taking orders for Class of 2028 t-shirts. The deadline to order a shirt is this Friday. See Mrs. Rowen if you need another order form.
 
  1. State Testing next week:  Tuesday Apr 30 and Thursday May 2 for Math.
            Make sure to bring your charged chromebook and charger.  During the testing period       students are not permitted to have communication devices in the testing room, this includes smart watches.  These will need to be placed in your locker during the testing period.
 
  1. Students that are waiting to enter the cafeteria for lunch must remain in line and stay to the right hand side of the hallway allowing those students and staff room to get by.
 
  1. McCormick Students show respect to adults. They always respond to adults by saying things like “yes ma’am” or “no sir.” Just nodding your head or saying any other form of yes or no is not acceptable. 
 
  1. McCormick students during an assembly or presentation, you do not speak or call out to friends. Always be respectful of the presenter.  
 
  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.
 
  1. Stay in the Game - keep coming to school and make sure you are working hard to be the best me you can be.
