  1. Today’s lunch is Bosco Sticks.


  1. Attention current Junior Honor Society members, please stop by and see Mrs. Rowen or Mr. Maleski to sign up for specific dates for tutoring. 


  1. We do have STEAM Club today in Mr. Hapleas’s room.  See you today for STEAM Club.

  2. Reminder to 7th and 8th grade students who received an eligibility letter for McCormick Junior Honor Society:  The deadline to return the application and essay will be 3pm TODAY. Forms turned in past that deadline cannot be accepted - no exceptions.  The application should be returned to the main office and not given to a teacher.


  1. Students interested in the Huron Softball Clinic should stop by the office for a registration form.  Deadline for registration is today.  Clinics start on February 25.


  1. 8th grade boys basketball players - game and practice jerseys are to be washed and turned in by Monday!


  1. There will be a Student Council meeting Monday during 8th grade lunch.


  1. Interim grades will be handed out during homerooms on Thursday, February 15.


  1. School is not in session on Friday, February 16 and Monday, February 19.


  1. Parent-Teacher conferences are on Tuesday, February 20, from 3:00-6:00pm and on Thursday, February 29, from 3:00-7:00pm.  Parents received an email through Final Forms from Mr. Doughty with a link to sign up for conferences.  The sign up scheduler can also be found on our website.


  1. There will be a short meeting on Tuesday, February 20 at 2:00 for 8th graders interested in playing football next year at the High School.  Please wait to be called down.


  1. Students that are waiting to enter the cafeteria for lunch must remain in line and stay to the right hand side of the hallway allowing those students and staff room to get by.


  1. Students let's THINK before you speak. Make sure whatever it is that you have to say passes the THINK Test prior to saying it. 

     T - is what you have to say True

     H - is what you have to say Helpful

     I - is what you have to say Inspiring

     N - is what you have to say Necessary

     K - is what you have to say Kind 


  1. McCormick students work hard each day to be the best they can be. One thing that helps them is working to be as organized as you can.  Make sure your locker and folders are cleaned out so you know where everything is.  


  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.  


  1. Reminder to all students that cell phones are to remain in your locker during the school day.   


  1. Make sure you are coming to school each day and working hard to become the best person you can be. Stay In The Game!!!
