  1. Today’s lunch is Pizza.


  1. Reminder to all students: Cell phones are to remain in your locker during the school day. Hoods are not to be worn up on your head.


  1. A reminder to students new to track: Order your uniform tops as soon as possible.


  1. Student Council members, remember to bring your water and lemonade to Mrs. Rowen today.


  1. Parent-Teacher conferences are Thursday, February 29, from 3:00-7:00pm.  Parents received an email through Final Forms from Mr. Doughty with a link to sign up for conferences.  The sign up scheduler can also be found on our website.


  1. Student Council is sponsoring a Mid-Winter Dance for 7th and 8th grade students on Friday, February 23.  Tickets are $5 and will be sold during lunches today. 


  1. Bracelets in memory of Evelyn Bauer can be purchased for $1.00 today during 7th & 8th grade lunches.  6th grade students please purchase your bracelet in the office during study hall.  Wear red, pink or purple today, for American Heart Month and in memory of Evelyn.


  1. Football and Basketball cheer tryouts for incoming 7th and 8th graders will be Monday, March 4th at the Huron High School Gymnasium from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.  Cheer packets are available in the office.


  1. McCormick yearbooks are on sale!  The deadline to order a yearbook is April 11th.  Order online at ybpay.lifetouch.com using code 14845924 or turn in your order form with a check made payable to McCormick. 


  1. Students that are waiting to enter the cafeteria for lunch must remain in line and stay to the right hand side of the hallway allowing those students and staff room to get by.


  1. McCormick students respect others not only in their speech but also their actions. Students need to realize that their actions can show disrespect as well. When students tsk another person, roll their eyes, or smack their lips these are all signs of disrespect. Gestures like these are a sign of disrespect and a bad attitude. Let’s stay positive, and show respect at all times.  

    

  1. McCormick students when meeting new people you should always shake their hand and repeat their name.  


  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.


  1. Make sure you are coming to school each day and working hard to become the best person you can be. Stay In The Game!!! So far this quarter the attendance competition is still close.  6th grade is at 97.6%, 7th grade is at 97.13% and 8th grade is at 97.12%. Great job, keep coming to school and working hard to be the best me you can be.
