  1. Today’s lunch is Chicken.


  1. Reminder to all students that cell phones are to remain in your locker during the school day. 


  1. The following students are recycling today:

Tori, Jude, and Adelle will collect recycling from the upstairs classrooms

Hadley, Lauren, and Blair will collect recycling from the first floor rooms. Please see Mrs. Rowen for a pass and recycling checklist.


  1. Parent-Teacher conferences are today, from 3:00-6:00pm, and on Thursday, February 29, from 3:00-7:00pm.  Parents received an email through Final Forms from Mr. Doughty with a link to sign up for conferences.  The sign up scheduler can also be found on our website.


  1. There will be a short meeting today at 2:00 for 8th graders interested in playing football next year at the High School.  Please wait to be called down.


  1. Student Council is sponsoring a Mid-Winter Dance for 7th and 8th grade students on Friday, February 23.  Tickets are $5 and will be sold during lunches Wednesday-Friday. 


  1. Bracelets in memory of Evelyn Bauer can be purchased for $1.00 Wednesday-Friday during 7th & 8th grade lunches.  6th grade students please purchase your bracelet in the office during study hall.  Wear red, pink or purple on Friday, February 23, for American Heart Month and in memory of Evelyn.


  1. Football and Basketball cheer tryouts for incoming 7th and 8th graders will be Monday, March 4th at the Huron High School Gymnasium from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.


  1. McCormick yearbooks are on sale!  The deadline to order a yearbook is April 11th.  Order online at ybpay.lifetouch.com using code 14845924 or turn in your order form with a check made payable to McCormick. 


  1. Students that are waiting to enter the cafeteria for lunch must remain in line and stay to the right hand side of the hallway allowing those students and staff room to get by.


  1. McCormick students respect their educational environment. They make sure if they see a mess or trash laying around, they do their part by helping to pick or clean it up. Whether in the cafeteria, restroom, hallway or classroom do your part and help to keep our McCormick home neat and orderly to support our learning environment. 

    

  1. McCormick students do not save seats in the lunchroom. They are always accepting and welcoming of others, especially those that want to spend time with you.  


  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.   


  1. Make sure you are coming to school each day and working hard to become the best person you can be. Stay In The Game!!! So far this quarter the attendance competition is still close.  6th grade is at 97.6%, 7th grade is at 97.13% and 8th grade is at 97.12%. Great job, keep coming to school and working hard to be the best me you can be.
