  1. Today’s lunch is Hot Dog.


  1. Reminder to all students: Cell phones are to remain in your locker during the school day. Hoods are not to be worn up on your head.


  1. A reminder to students new to track: Order your uniform tops as soon as possible.


  1. 8th graders- Your course request forms are due to Mrs. LaCrosse by the 29th. That is THIS Thursday! So, find that yellow form, select your 9th grade classes, and get your parent or guardian to sign the bottom. Turn the yellow form into Mrs. LaCrosse by Thursday!


  1. 8th grade football starts lifting tonight at 7PM at the HHS Weight Room.


  1. Attention current McCormick Jr. Honor Society members, remember that your introduction speeches are due Mrs. Rowen or Mr. Maleski by Friday. The induction ceremony is Wednesday, March 6th at 6 pm.


  1. Parent-Teacher conferences are Thursday, from 3:00-7:00pm.  Parents received an email through Final Forms from Mr. Doughty with a link to sign up for conferences.  The sign up scheduler can also be found on our website.


  1. Football and Basketball cheer tryouts for incoming 7th and 8th graders will be Monday, March 4th at the Huron High School Gymnasium from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.  Cheer packets are available in the office.


  1. McCormick yearbooks are on sale!  The deadline to order a yearbook is April 11th.  Order online at ybpay.lifetouch.com using code 14845924 or turn in your order form with a check made payable to McCormick. 


  1. Students that are waiting to enter the cafeteria for lunch must remain in line and stay to the right hand side of the hallway allowing those students and staff room to get by.


  1. When you are given something from someone, never insult that person by making negative comments about the gift or by insinuating that it wasn’t appreciated. No matter how big or small or how valuable the gift is, one should always say thank you and show gratitude.  

    

  1. McCormick students will always hold the door for people rather than letting it close on them.  


  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.


  1. Make sure you are coming to school each day and working hard to become the best person you can be. Stay In The Game!!! So far this quarter the attendance competition is still close.  6th grade is at 97.%, 7th grade and 8th grade are tied at 96.3%. With only 4 weeks left in the quarter this is going to be another close race.  Great job, keep coming to school and working hard to be the best me you can be.
