1. National Junior Honor Society will meet Tuesday after school in Mrs. Aber's room, 104. You will be talking about: t-shirts, and gathering ideas for service projects and fundraisers. Plan to be there. The meeting will last for about 30 minutes.

2. The Huron Public Library has game nights twice each month on a Tuesday at 6 pm. The October game nights feature "Magic: The Gathering.” The next meeting will be October 21.

3. There will be a meeting in the auditorium the last 10 minutes of study hall on Wednesday for any seventh and eighth grade girl interested in playing basketball.

4. Junior High cross country teams competed in their SBC meet this past Saturday. The girls’ team is the 2014 SBC champions with a final score of 54 points. The boys’ team placed a strong 3rd. Three of their top runners were honored for First Team All SBC: Grace Moser placing 4th overall, Hunter Garbe placed 6th overall and Drew Grespin placed 5th overall. Qualifying for Second Team All SBC was Tanner Mize placing 13th overall. Congratulations to both teams for a great performance!

5. Congratulations to the seventh grade volleyball team who won the SBC tournament by defeating Margaretta. Congratulations to the eighth grade volleyball team who were the runners up in their SBC tournament. It was a great season for both teams! Congratulations, girls!

6. Attention academic challenge members! Practice will be held today in room 207 from 2:45-3:25.

7. Power of the Pen will meet today right after school in Mrs. Aber’s room. The meeting will end at 3:20.
