Announcements - Monday, 12/3/18

1.  The Tiger swim teams traveled to Tiffin on Saturday for the Calvert Senecas Kick-Off Invite. The girls finished 4th while the boys came away as champions of the 11 Team field.

Set a meet record in winning the final event the 400 yard freestyle relay.
The Tigers travel to Norwalk Wednesday for a dual meet with St. Paul.

2.  TLC is doing a coin/bill drive for Project Happy.  The 5th period class with the highest dollar amount will receive a pizza party.  The drive will run today through Friday, 12/14.


3.  There will be a brief meeting in room 104 today at 2:30pm for anyone playing football next year.  Please see Coach Hohler with any questions.

4. 
The National Honor Society will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, December 11th, from 8 a.m-1 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium. Sign ups to donate will be during lunch throughout this week. You must be 16 or older to donate and all 16 year olds must turn in a parental consent form. Make sure to bring a form of ID the day of the blood drive. There is an emergency level blood shortage across the United States and each donation can help save 3 lives. The National Honor Society hopes to see you at the blood drive on December 11th!

5.  Attention Seniors who did NOT get their Senior pictures taken by Lifetouch/Prestige Portraits;  Lifetouch/Prestige will be at our school on Thursday, December 6, from 7am-12pm, to photograph all Class of 2018 Seniors who have not previously been photographed by their company for our school's yearbook.  Please plan accordingly in terms of your attire/hair for the day!  This will be your last chance to be photographed for your portrait in the yearbook, so if you don't show, you will be left out!

6.  New Volunteer Opportunity - The Huron Chamber of Commerce is in need of volunteers to assist with various activities planned at businesses on Main Street and the Huron Boat Basin for their Winter Festival on Saturday, Dec. 8th from 3-8pm.  Call or text (419) 656-9196 if you are interested!

7.  Don't forget to bring chemo care package items into your first period class before December 19th!  Items to bring are listed in each class, and the winning class gets a donut party.  Let's help make the kids on the pediatric cancer floor at the Cleveland Clinic happy this holiday season.  Contact Abi Miller if you have any questions.

8.  Huron Ski club registration is still open.  Additional information forms are available in the school office.  Deadline is December 18th.  Contact Julie Parell with any questions.

9.  Lunch today is buffalo chicken tots or a chicken patty sandwich.
