Announcements -Thursday, 12/6/18

1.  Seniors - Lifetouch/Prestige will be at our school today until noon to photograph those who have not previously been photographed by their company.  This will be your last chance to be photographed for your portrait in the yearbook, so if you don't show, you will be left out!

2. 
The Tiger swim teams traveled to Norwalk last night for a dual meet against St Paul and came home with convincing wins for both the girls and boys teams. Top performers for the Tigers were:

Volunteer Opportunity - The Huron Chamber of Commerce is in need of volunteers to assist with various activities planned at businesses on Main Street and the Huron Boat Basin for their Winter Festival this Saturday (12/8) from 3-8pm.  Call or text (419) 656-9196 if you are interested!

4. Please remember your donation for the OHgo coin drive! 

5.  This Saturday at the Huron Public Library learn how to create your own comics with the creators of Mickey Mart's Mickey the Moose comics. Register at huronlibrary.org, or by calling the library, for this free program. For ages 12 - 17, Saturday, December 8 from 2 - 4 pm.

 

Teen Library Council at the Huron Public Library meets this Sunday, December 9 at 3 pm with new advisor, Tessann Brewster. Members are encouraged to attend to welcome Tessann and start planning for spring programs for teens.

The National Honor Society will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, December 11th, from 8 a.m-1 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium. Sign ups to donate will be during lunch throughout this week. You must be 16 or older to donate and all 16 year olds must turn in a parental consent form. Make sure to bring a form of ID the day of the blood drive. There is an emergency level blood shortage across the United States and each donation can help save 3 lives. The National Honor Society hopes to see you at the blood drive on December 11th!

7.  Don't forget to bring chemo care package items into your first period class before December 19th!  Items to bring are listed in each class, and the winning class gets a donut party.  Let's help make the kids on the pediatric cancer floor at the Cleveland Clinic happy this holiday season.  Contact Abi Miller if you have any questions.

8.  Huron Ski Club registration deadline is December 18.  Additional forms for online registration are in the office.  There will be a short meeting immediately after school on Monday, December 17th, in the cafeteria at 2:30pm.  Parent/guardian release forms are due at this time.  Contact Julie Parell with any questions.

9.  Lunch today is bosco pizza sticks or a pizza calzone.
