1. Freshmen, you are gaining on the juniors in the attendance competition. Keep up the good attendance.
2. There will be a meeting held for anyone interested in trying out for softball this Friday in the cafeteria right after school.
3. Mrs. Bengele is looking for 5 students interested in computers and IT for the March 20 Cedar Point job shadow day. Please see her if interested.
Mrs. Bengele will be taking a small group of students to Shikenah
Trucking to explore business operations, transportation, and
mechanics. Please see her if interested.
4. Democratic Women of Erie County - Scholarships available to
female residents of Erie County who demonstrate the principals of the
Democratic Party. Stop into the HHS Counseling Office for requirements
and applications. Cover page must be submitted with required essay and
transcript. DEADLINE MARCH 9, 2018
Just Seth Foundation - Scholarship award of $500 available to
graduating high school seniors pursuing post-secondary education in the
behavioral health field. Stop by the Counseling office for additional
requirements and paper applications. DEADLINE MARCH 16, 2018EHOVE Adult Education Scholarship - Award of $1500 available to
high school seniors planning to enroll full-time in the Adult Education
Career Training Programs. Application can be found on Naviance and in
the HHS Counseling Office. Turn in completed applications to the HHS
Counseling Office. DEADLINE MARCH 19, 2018.
5. Attention all students: The annual College Credit Plus meeting will be Monday, February 5th, at 6pm at McCormick. Please make sure to attend this informative session if you are interested in taking CCP classes next year.
6. Mrs. Bengele is looking for 5-6 students interested in information technology to accompany her to Cedar Point for the March 20th
job shadow day. Also, she is looking for 5 students to bring to
Shekinah Trucking Company in Norwalk to learn about business,
transportation, and auto & diesel mechanics sometime in March.
7. Attention All Seniors: Honor cord
applications are now available in the Counseling Office. Top 10%,
Honors Diploma, and Diploma of Distinction lists are now posted in the
Counseling Office. You have until Feb. 15 to verify and apply for your cords. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Fahr.
8. Attention all Juniors: If you are interested in attending Buckeye Boys State or Buckeye Girls State during the week of June 10, please stop by room 206 to pick up information. All applications are due to Mrs. Merckens by Wednesday, Feb. 7.
9. Baseball lifting today at 4pm and Saturday (Feb. 3rd) at 9am, at high school weight room.
Hitting Sunday Feb. 4th at 4:30pm at Woodlands.
