1.  The Tiger Swim teams were in action last night in Sandusky versus St. Mary’s. The girls team won 108-56 while the boys team tied 83-83. Top performers were

2.  Last night the a Huron boys varsity and JV had a match against Fremont St. Joe.
The JV Boys won their match with a pin count of 2211 to St.Joe’s 1725.
Leading the JV with two game individual scores were Jaxon Cramer with 346 and Ryan Smith with 341.

The Varsity bowled very well and dominated the lanes with a total pin count of 2920 to St. Joe’s 2261 a difference of 659 pins.  Leading bowlers were again Freshman Nick Pack with a two game series of 451. He also had the highest single game shooting a 259... Congratulations Nick.

Jared ( BIG MONEY) Ochs was second high with a two game total of 428 with 213 and 215 games.
Micheal Bryk was right there with them with a 404 series.
Congratulations to the Huron Boys Bowling Teams.

Next match is today in Fostoria against Lakota @4pm.

Juniors, your class had 22 days of best attendance this quarter.  You will be treated to a sundae bar during lunches on Monday!  We appreciate your presence at school.

4.  Baseball Open gym tonight at 8:30pm til 9:15pm at Woodlands.

Baseball Hitting Sunday at 4:30-5:15 (Juniors and Seniors)  5:15-6pm (Fresh/Soph) at Woodlands.

6.   Attention Seniors: Firelands Positive People scholarship applications can be picked up in the Counseling Office.  Make sure to request a official transcript. Completed applications can be emailed directly to firelandspositivepeople@gmail.com DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MARCH 1, 2018
 

7.  New scholarships for Seniors:
VacationLand FCU Scholarship opportunity - Award of $500 available to graduating seniors planning to further their post secondary studies.  Requirements and more details can be found by logging into Naviance.  DEADLINE MARCH 31, 2018

Medical Mutual is offering a one-time $500 scholarship to graduating high school seniors to be used toward their post-secondary tuition.  Eligibility requirements and more information can be found on Naviance.  DEADLINE APRIL 1, 2018.

8. Huron Public Library happenings:  

"The Writer's Imagination" series begins Friday, January 19 at 3:30 pm. Explore your writing style with local author, Rob Smith. Registration required

Teen Library Council meets Sunday, January 21 at 1:30 pm.

Scrabble Tournament, Saturday, February 3 at 10 am. Registration required.
