Announcements - Tuesday, 9/4/18

1.  Attention Students interested in applying for the Student Cabinet.  There is a new updated application in the Counseling Office.  If you picked up an application, please stop down to the Counseling office to make sure you have the correct one.  Current cabinet members do not need reapply.  The deadline to submit applications is Friday, September 7th.
 
2.  Attention all students interested in speech and debate. Please turn in your interest form to
Mr. Harkelroad in room 212 by Wednesday, September 5.  If you have not received a speech and debate interest form, you can pick one up from Mr. Harkelroad.

3.  Any student interested in joining the yearbook staff, please come to an informational meeting in Mrs. Lee's room (216) immediately after school on Thursday, Sept. 6. Specifically, the yearbook needs help with taking photos of activities within the school during the year, gathering information, and providing write-ups of sports and activities. 

4. The  high school office has forms available if you'd like to order a t-shirt for Crucial Catch or  Huron Tigers football apparel. 

5.  Students can sign up through Naviance to meet with any of the following admissions representatives who will be visiting HHS:

6.  Attention ladies!  Do you like adventure?  Here's your opportunity.  Huron First Presbyterian Church is starting an all-female Venturing Crew.  Venturing is a program through the Boy Scouts of America for youth ages 14-21 (or 13 and completed the 8th grade).  The program operates Venturing Crews, units of youth and advisors that plan activities and events.  The types of activities and events are determined by the crew members.  They can include a wide variety of adventures like camping, backpacking, ziplining, kayaking - the possibilities are endless.  You are invited to come check out our Venturing Crew 31 open house on Monday, September 10.  We will meet at 7:00pm at First Presbyterian Church, 225 Williams St.  If you are interested, but cannot attend or have other questions, please email:  [email protected].

7.  Lunch today is casserole day or a chicken quesadilla.
