W.I.S. ANNOUNCEMENTS


Good morning today is Monday, September 10, 2018



The lunch menu for today is: Choice of Chicken Patty on a Bun or a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. You also have the choice of any two or more of Steamed Broccoli with Cheese Sauce, Fresh Veggies with Ranch or Hummus Dip, Pear Slices, Fresh Fruit, Fruit Juice and Milk



Let’s keep Rachel’s Challenge alive. Make sure you are journaling regularly, accepting others and doing kind acts. Make sure you recognize those students that do kind acts by completing a chain link for them. 



Our value word for the week is: Cheerfulness -  feeling or showing happiness, feeling or showing that you are willing to do something without complaining



Joseph Addison  once said, “Cheerfulness is the best promoter of health and is as friendly to the mind as to the body.


Students let's THINK before you speak. Make sure whatever it is that you have to say passes the THINK Test prior to saying it.

    T - is what you have to say True

    H - is what you have to say Helpful

    I - is what you have to say Inspiring

    N - is what you have to say Necessary

    K - is what you have to say Kind



There are several items in the lost and found already this year. Please stop and claim your items that you are missing.  



Students that are riding their bikes to school are reminded once you get onto school property you must walk your bike to the rack.

 

Students that are being picked up after school are reminded that parent pick-up is on the west side of the building along Lake Erie Parkway. Students can only be picked up in the main parking lot if your parent has contacted the office and arranged it.  



The Huron Public Library is sponsoring many great preograms this week. On Monday, September 10 the Huron Public Library is hosting - Geek Out Squad at 4:30. Students will work on computer coding to begin learning how to program mini-robots. On Wednesday, September 12 is Rockin’ Readers. Students will meet and discuss a book and snacks will be provided. Finally on Thursday of this week the library will host Craft Corner where you will be able to design and make your very own creation out of duct tape. Contact the library to register for any of these awesome activities. 



Reminder to all academic challenge members, practice will be held on Thursday rather than Tuesday this week.



The PTO Mumkin and Mumster fund raising forms are due Friday.
