Announcements - Tuesday, 9/18/18

1.  Model UN will have a meeting at 2:30pm in Mr. Schaefer's room 210 on Wednesday.

2.  Tomorrow for Spirit Week is U.S.A. day.  Show your country pride by wearing red, white and blue!

3.  Homecoming dance tickets will be on sale today thru Friday during lunch.  Tickets are $10 each.  If you are bringing someone who does not attend HHS you must turn in a guest form when purchasing the tickets. Guest forms include emergency medical information and needs to be signed by the guest parent and their principal.  Guest forms are available outside the high school office.

4.  Anyone wishing to participate in Speech and Debate; there will be an organizational meeting Thursday, 9/20, at 2:30 in room 212.  Please make arrangements to attend so we can begin preparations for competitions. 

5.  Art Club members, there are signs posted around the school to join Remind 101.  If you want to join the Art Club and receive the schedule and announcements, please sign up on Remind or come to the Art room and get the Remind Code. 

6Seniors please be checking Naviance for new scholarships!

7.  Interact applications are due to the high school office today to be considered for membership.  If you are interested in applying for the 2018-2019 year, please stop by the office to pick up an application. 

8.  Attention college bound juniors:  You are encouraged to take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship qualifying test scheduled for the morning of Wednesday, 10/10/18.  Please bring a check or money order for $16 to Mrs. Smith in the School Counseling office made out to Huron High School by Friday, 10/5.

9.  Crucial catch order forms are available in the high school office.  The last day to place an order is Tuesday, 9/25.

10.  Community service hours opportunity:  Huron Parks & Recreation are looking for volunteers for the 2018 Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, 10/13, at the Huron Boat Basin.  Volunteer forms are available in the School Counseling office.

11.  Elks Student of the Month scholarship applications are available in the Counseling office for seniors.  Only the first 14 to apply will be entered.  Please return completed applications with a wallet size photograph to Mrs. Smith in the Counseling office.

12.  Students can sign up through Naviance to meet with any of the following admissions representatives who will be visiting HHS:
