ANNOUNCEMENTS - WEDNESDAY, 8/30/17
1. Congratulations to the girls cross country team. They were Champions of
the SMCC "Run to Fun" this last weekend beating their next closest
opponent by 40 points. Grace Moser and Cassie Currence went 1 and 2 in
the race followed by Hunter Garbe in 5th and Kayla Walsh in 10th. Nice
job ladies.The boys were 4th with Nathan Pack leading the way with his 4th place finish.
2. Attention all students: Mr. Muratori is looking to fill 2 vacancies
on his Superintendent Student Cabinet. This is an extremely active
group that meets once a month. They take an active part in district
wide leadership and want to make a difference. Last year they were
responsible for implementing the BYOD policy for this school year.
Interest forms can be picked up in the Counseling Office and are due
back to the Counseling Office no later than Wednesday, September 6th.
3. Attention students who took summer CCP classes: Please bring your books to Mrs. Smith in the HHS Counseling office.
4. Presale tickets for Friday's home football game vs Sandusky are now on sale in the high school office. All tickets are $5 in advance.
5. Any student interested in auditioning for Troubadours, Huron High School's pop - acappella group, auditions will be held September 5-7th
after school in the choir room. Those auditioning will need to prepare a
1 minute excerpt from any song of their choosing. Sign up sheets will
be posted outside the choir room.
6. Yearbooks from the 2016-17 school year are in. If you ordered one,
please stop by the high school office to pick up your copy.

"I Love Huron Football" senior girls t-shirt order forms are available in the high school office. Money is due by August 31st to Lucky Stone.
8. Baseball open fields will be held at Woodlands on Wednesdays (5:30pm) and Sundays (noon) beginning Wednesday, September 6th. This will continue on through October.
9. The
Huron Public Library Staff want to wish you a great school
year. Come to the Library with a parent and get your free library card
to kick the year off on the right foot. September is National Library
Card Sign up Month.
Chapter Chat returns to the Tiger Union on Monday,
September 18 at 2:30 pm to discuss All We Have Left by Wendy Mills. This
Library-sponsored book club challenges students to read various teen titles and discuss them after school, one Monday each month. Expand your reading and join the group.
Each month’s book can be delivered to the High School through the Tiger Book Shelf cooperation. Snack included; registration required at
www.huronlibrary.org
Teen Library
Council at the Huron Public Library is a group of 7th-12th graders who
care about their library. Join them as they design
programs for teens, assist in book/movie selections, and run programs
for younger kids. After-hours and special TLC events
happen all year too! Community Service hours awarded for attendance and
volunteer participation. Fill out an application today - call for more
information. Next meeting: Friday, September 15 at 3 pm
