ANNOUNCEMENTS - THURSDAY, 10/12/17

1.  This is a reminder to all students going to EHOVE today:  You MUST eat A lunch.  We will leave at 11:30 today! Students will be asked to come to the gym around 11:25.


2.  Jostens will be at HHS during lunch today for Senior graduation orders.

3. 
There will be a brief meeting in the cafeteria today right after school for those interested in playing girls basketball.

4.  Attention all Juniors going on the class trip:  Your first payment and permission slip are due next Wednesday, Oct. 18, to Mr Schaeffer.  Checks need to be made out to Huron High School.

Attention all Seniors: This is a reminder that there is a Financial Aid meeting in the Tiger Union Monday evening at 6pm for you and your parents. This will be an informational meeting to help you and your parents fill out your FAFSA.  Please see Mrs. Fahr if you have any questions!

6.  Picture retakes for underclassmen have been scheduled for Tuesday, October 24th, beginning at 7:25am.  Extra forms are available in the office if you plan on placing an order.  If you are turning in pictures you did not like - please bring those with you as well. Online ordering will NOT be available on retake day.

For students interested in pursuing a career in nursing, FRMC School of Nursing will be holding an Open House on Sunday, October 15th from 1-4 p.m. at their south campus, 1912 Hayes Ave., 4th Floor.

8.  Presale tickets for Friday's varsity football game at Vermilion are on sale in the office.  The cost is $5.

9Attention students, if you are planning to take an online class or a class at Firelands College Spring 2018, you need to stop into the Guidance office to sign up for advising appointments. These will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017.

10.   New Scholarship added to Naviance:

B. Davis ScholarshipAward of $1,000 available to high school juniors and seniors. Essay on the topic, "Describe the three characteristics of leadership you value most and discuss why you feel that they are developed in an individual."
11. On Saturday, October 28,  St. Peter School is hosting the 3rd annual Spooktacular 5K and Kids Pumpkin Fun Run.  All runners and walkers are welcome.  Costumes are encouraged.  There will be lots of food and prizes after the race.  Please pick up a registration form in the Huron High School office or register online through October 10 to be guaranteed a race shirt.
12.  The following colleges/universities will be visiting Huron High School. If you would like to meet with their representative - you must sign up through Naviance.
