1. Today, there will be a Spaghetti Dinner at the Huron High School Cafeteria from 4:30-7:00. Cost is $5.00 for Adults and $3.00 for kids under 10. Proceeds support the Citizens for Huron Schools.
2. Are you an artist? Would you like to design this years yearbook cover? If so, draw your own original cover. Write McCormick Jr. High 2017-2018 at the top. Put the drawing on blank computer paper that is 8.5 by 11 inches. Submit your drawing in color to Mr. Maleski or Mrs. Brown by Tuesday, October 3rd. If you have any questions, see Mr. Maleski or Mrs. Brown.
3. On Saturday, October 28th, St. Peter School is hosting the 3rd annual Spooktacular 5K and Kids Pumpkin Fun Run. All runners and walkers are welcome. Costumes are encouraged. There will be lots of food and prizes after the race. Register by October 10th to be guaranteed a race shirt.
4. Power of the Pen, a competitive writing club, will have its first meeting today after school in Mrs. Aber’s room from 2:45 – 3:30.
5. Attention students who plan to attend the St. Pete’s Retreat: Your permission form must be turned in to our office prior to the absence. All absences must be approved so that your tests and homework may be made up. You are responsible for making up all missed work.
6. Attention all 8th grade students: You must have your permission form for the field trip to EHOVE turned into your homeroom teacher today.
7. Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for Monday, October 2nd, 3:00-6:00 and Tuesday October 10th, 3:00-7:00. Parents should call the school to schedule a conference time.
