Announcements - Tuesday, 2/20/18

1.  The union will be closed first period today.

2. 
Attention all freshmen: Mrs. Fahr will be meeting with you during your World Studies classes today to go over scheduling for next year. Please bring your device to class if you have one.

3. 
There will be a mandatory meeting for anyone interested in trying out for softball today after school in the cafeteria.

4.  A
uditions for The Sound of Music are today and tomorrow after school. Information packets are still available and sign-up sheets are on the doors to the choir room. Please sign up for an audition time! If you have any questions, see Miss Jackson.

5. 
This past Friday the Huron Tiger Boys Bowling team competed in the SBC sectionals. Had a decent start to the tournament and were first after the first game. As the day went on and when the smoke cleared the boys finished third over all advancing to the districts tournament in Rossford this Friday where they will be bowling for the chance to move on as a team or individual bowler.  The team was made up of two freshman and three seniors.  Leading the scores were Freshman Nick Pack with a total pin count of 650 and Freshman Jaxson Cramer with a pin count of 636. Congratulations to the team and LETS GO TIGER BOWLERS!

Janotta & Herner Construction Scholarship & Summer Co-Op ProgramThis scholarship program is set up to help individuals in their goals to achieve a degree in construction related fields of study. Applications with eligibility criteria can be found outside the HHS Counseling office.  DEADLINE APRIL 13, 2018

The U.S Marines will be visiting on Monday, Feb. 26th at 8:30 in the Tiger Union.  Sign up through Naviance if you are interested.
 
8.  Today during lunch you can purchase $2 bracelets to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. 

9.  A photographer will be coming in to the gym on Wednesday, February 21, during 1st period to take pictures of the following clubs:  Concert Band, Chorale, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Concert Choir, Student Council, Troubadours, NHS, Model UN, Art Club, Speech & Debate and TLC.  Please plan accordingly.

10.  Mr. Lamb is looking for a junior with a driver's license that will be willing to help an elderly woman in Huron.  Parent permission would be required.  See Mr. Lamb for more information if interested. 
 

11.  Senior girls - Nurse Janis is organizing a free self-defense class in cooperation with Huron Police.  A sign-up sheet is in the main office if you are interested.

12.  Cedar Point's open house is Sunday, March 4, from 2-5 pm at Castaway Bay where they will be offering on-site interviews and job offers.

13.  Registration for Huron Baseball Softball Program will have sign-ups on Sunday, March 4, at the Huron Eagles Club.  For more information please stop in the high school office.

14.  Lunch today is a taco or crunchy taco wrap.
