HURON HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS - THURSDAY, 11/9/17
1.  The High School is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive in the gym this coming Tuesday, November 14, from 8-1.  Students 16 and older should set up their appointments for when they are in study halls and talk with teachers directly if missing any class time.  See NHS members in the cafeteria during lunch periods to sign up today!

2. 
The American Legion Americanism & Government Test will be given today during 6th Period. 

3. 
Attention CCP Students - If you have not already done so, please turn in your grade verifications to Mrs. Smith in the Counseling office as soon as possible.
 
4.  An Open House will be held tonight at EHOVE Career Center from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  A free pasta dinner will be served.  Students and parents are invited to find out more about the career tech programs available at EHOVE. 

5. 
Seniors, you earned your first tiger paw for good attendance yesterday and tied with the Sophomores.  Sophomores you still have the lead for best daily attendance with 6 paws.  Juniors have 3 and Freshmen have 2.  

6. 
Huron High School will be holding the first annual VolleyBros tournament November 18th beginning at 1pm.  Teams must have 4 to 6 players and tournament entrance fee is $5 per player.  Sign up forms can be picked up at lunch or in the office.  All money raised at the event will help fund the anti-bullying campaign to be introduced later in the year.

7.  There will be a baseball meeting for anyone interested in playing baseball next season on Wednesday, Nov. 15th, in Mr. Hohler's room right after school.  

8. Lifetouch will be in to take senior head shots for those not yet photographed by them on Wednesday, December 6, from 7am-11am. 
 
9.  This week at the Huron Public Library-

Teen Library Council meets Friday at 3 pm

Veterans' Day Commemoration program on Saturday at 1 pm

10.  Huron Ski and Snowboard Club deadline is December 19.  There will be a short meeting Monday, December 18th in the cafeteria to collect forms and answer any questions.  This is a highly discounted program offered by Brandywine Ski Resort for experts as well as beginners.  The program includes rental, lessons, plus value passes for your friends or family.  Additional information packets are available in the high school office.
11.  The following colleges/universities will be visiting Huron High School. If you would like to meet with their representative - you must sign up through Naviance.

Nov 14th Muskingum University 9:30am
Nov. 27th US Air Force 10:00am

12.  Lunch today is a buffalo chicken wrap.
