Announcements - Thursday, 4/4/19

1.  Seniors please be sure to go into Naviance to complete your senior survey as part of your graduation requirement and senior check out.

2. 
The Huron Tiger Core Value for the month of April is Accountability.  Be accountable to your teachers, classmates, and teammates this month and you could be nominated!  All nominees win a Huron Tiger Core Value T-Shirt and our top vote getter will receive a family pack of Cedar Point Tickets.

3. 
Huron High School presents Bye Bye Birdie this weekend with shows Friday and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets will be sold during lunch today and tomorrow. Tickets are $10. Please come out and support this amazing cast!

4. 
NHS is hosting a School Supply Drive during the first two weeks of April to help out Shawnee and Woodlands. Bring in school supplies to your 5th period class at any time until Friday, April 12th. The class with the most supplies brought in will receive a sundae bar the day before Easter Break, April 18th. Please refer to the flyers around the school for a list of supplies!
 
5.  Any student interested in taking TLC next year must turn in an application to Mrs. Bender by the end of the day Friday (4/5). You will be contacted for an interview after all applications have been received.
 
6.  Reminder to students who are planning to take CCP classes for the first time - If you have not already taken the Accuplacer test, call Firelands College at (419) 372-0886 to schedule as soon as possible. Please turn in your Accuplacer test results to Mrs. Smith.


7.  Students please remember to turn in your course sheets as soon as possible so you can schedule classes with your counselor.

8.  Cedar Point will be hosting a second High School Job Fair this Sunday, April 7th, from 1pm-4pm at the Cedar Point Training Center.  Any questions, please call 419-609-5765 or email [email protected].

9. If you're bored on a Saturday, don't be!  Stop by the Library and learn how to play Chess on Saturday from 10am - 12:30pm.

Finally, if you've been avoiding the Library because you have past overdue fines, don't worry!  Food for Fines week begins Saturday, April 7 and goes until April 13.  An HPL overdue fine will be waived for each non-perishable food item you bring in during this week!

10.  On Thursday, April 11, the following groups will be getting a group picture taken during 4th period: Speech & Debate, TLC, Student Council, NHS, Art club, Model UN, and yearbook. You will be called down to the gym during 4th period. Please plan accordingly. 
 

11.  Huron High School will be having a three-hour delay on Wednesday, 4/17, for the English end of course exams.  All students taking the end of course exam will find their room assignments on the windows by the main office.  Students must arrive to the test on time!  Students will not be allowed to enter the testing room late.  Busses will run at normal times.  Students arriving before 10:25 will be asked to wait in the cafeteria and the gym. 

12.  Attention Juniors & Seniors!  Keep selling those Afterprom 50/50 tickets to offset the cost of your Afterprom tickets.  For every 6 tickets you sell your name will be entered into a weekly raffle to win a $25 gift card.  Be sure to turn your ticket stubs and money into the office and sign out more tickets to sell if needed. 

Remember the person who sells the most 50/50 tickets in the end, will win a $50 gift card of their choice. 

 

13.  An additional day has been scheduled to meet with the CCP advisors from Firelands College for Monday April 8th.  Please stop into the HHS Counseling office to make sure you have scheduled a time to meet with them on either April 8th or April 18th.

14.  Lunch today is bosco sticks or a pizza calzone.
