*Let’s keep Rachel’s Challenge alive. Make sure you are journaling regularly, accepting others and doing kind acts. Make sure you recognize those students that are performing kind acts by completing a chain link for them. KCR - 24/7 - 365

*Our value word for the week is: Accountability -  required to explain actions or decisions to someone, required to be responsible for something

*Catherine Pulsifer once said,  “At the end of the day we are accountable to ourselves - our success is a result of what we do.”

*Woodlands students respect their educational environment. They make sure if they see a mess or trash laying around, they do their part by helping to pick or clean it up. Whether in the cafeteria, restroom, hallway or classroom do your part and help to keep our Woodlands home neat and orderly to support our learning environment.

*The Huron Tiger Scholar Award characteristic this month is Accountability.  Many struggle with the definition of accountability versus responsibility. The difference is simple. Many people can be responsible for helping out on a task or initiative. But accountability belongs only to one person who will be judged on the completion of the project.

Truly accountable people are very hard to find. Accountability comes from within. It is not something you are given, you have to choose it to own it.

Accountable people take responsibility. When responsibility is forced upon people they can often be resistant or even resentful. Highly accountable people willingly take on responsibility and actively manage it so it gets done. They make sure once the initiative has their name on it, no one else need worry about its completion.

*Student picture day is Friday.  All students will be getting their picture taken whether purchasing pictures or not.
