Announcements - Thursday, 12/12/19

1.  Attention CCP students - Please return any college materials as soon as you are finished with exams to Mrs. Smith in the Counseling Office.

2.  Sports Force will be here today during lunches looking for potential employees.  Stop by their table to check out job opportunities.

3.  Join your teachers in Holiday Spirit Week!  Friday - "Be the Good" - Wear a kindness shirt to spread the love!

4.  Seniors if you are interested in attending the University of Toledo and majoring in education, please check out the Herb Scholars Program @ http://www.utoledo.edu/financialaid/scholarships.  This scholarship is valued at full-time, in-state undergraduate tuition and general fees (up to 18 hours per semester), room and board for up to eight semesters of undergraduate enrollment.

5.  Last day to "Stall your Teacher" is Friday, 12/13.  The monies collected will go to help kids in our community during Christmas.  The 5th period class that gives the most
change/money will win a pizza party.

6. On Friday, 12/13, a representative from the Census Bureau will be here during lunches.  They are looking for employees for the summertime.  You will need to be 18 years of age to work for them.  Stop by their table for more information.

7. Interested in making an impact on your community?  Join the Teen Library Council.  The council meets monthly to discuss ways to change the Library for the betterment of teens and beyond everywhere.  The next meeting is on Sunday, December 15 at 3pm.

8.  It's not too late to sign up for Ski Club!  Information packets are available in the high school office.  The 2nd deadline is Friday, December 20th.

9.  Lifetouch will be at Huron High School this Friday, December 13, to photograph Seniors who have not had their picture taken through Lifetouch for the yearbook.  They will be here at 7am. This will be your last chance to get your photo in the yearbook.  Please plan accordingly.

10.  Don't forget to bring in chemo care package items into your 5th period class before December 18th!  Items to bring are listed in each class, and the winning class wins a donut party!  If you have any questions, contact Abi Miller.  Let's help raise the spirits of children battling cancer this holiday season.

11.  Community Service Opportunity:  Join the Erie Metroparks Conservation Club and earn community service hours while learning about conservation efforts here in Erie County.  For more information stop into the high school office.
