Announcements - Wednesday, 10/23/19

1.  On November 11-13th, Student Council will be hosting auditions for a school talent show.  The show will be at the high school at the end of the school day April 17th, and performed that night at McCormick Jr High for parents and other students to see.  An informational meeting will be held in the Tiger Union on Friday, October 25th.

2.  There will be a brief mandatory meeting right after school today in room 207 for any girl interested in playing basketball this season. If you cannot attend the meeting see Coach Lobsinger.

3.  All students planning on taking a CCP course at Firelands College or online this Spring:  Please come to the Counseling Office to sign up for an advising appointment with Mrs. Sophia Jackson.  She will be here again on October 30.

4.  Freshmen - On Thursday of this week, Jostens will be here to do a presentation on Class rings.  You will meet in the gym first thing in the morning.

5.  Community Service Opportunity: Admirals Pointe is having their annual Trick or Treat/Haunted House on Thursday, October 24, from 6:30-9pm.  They are in need of student helpers.  Please contact Lisa (Activities Director) at 419-433-4990.

6.  Sergeant Gainer from the Air Force National Guard will be here during lunches on Friday, October 25.

7.  There will be a mandatory basketball meeting in Coach Schaefers room Thursday after school for anyone who is going to tryout for boys basketball.

8.  Basketball cheer tryouts are scheduled for Tuesday, October 29th through Thursday, October 31st.  Tryouts will be held at Shawnee Elementary.  Cheer packets are available in the high school office.  All forms must be completed prior to tryouts.

9.  St. Peter School is hosting their annual Spooktacular 5K Pumpkin Fun Run on Saturday, October 26th.  Registration papers are available in the high school office if you'd like to participate. They are also looking for volunteers to help out the morning of the race.  Volunteers are needed between 8am-11am.  Interested students should email [email protected] or phone or text 419-366-1563.

10.  Presale tickets for Friday's home football game vs Port Clinton are on sale in the office.  Cost is $5.  All tickets at the gate will be $6.

11.  The following colleges will be visiting Huron High School in the near future.
