Announcements - Friday, 10/25/19
1. Attention those in need of volunteer hours! Victoria Eytchison is
looking for volunteers to participate in this year's Reading Buddies
program. Reading Buddies is a reading program at Shawnee School where
volunteers read books with second graders every Tuesday and Thursday
after school. Get in touch with Victoria by Friday, 10/25, if you're
interested!

On November 11-13th, Student Council will be hosting auditions for a
school talent show. The show will be at the high school at the end of
the school day April 17th, and performed that night at McCormick Jr High
for parents and other students to see. An informational meeting will
be held in the Tiger Union today.
3. Sergeant Gainer from the Air Force National Guard will be here during lunch today.
4. All students planning on taking a CCP course at Firelands College or
online this Spring: Please come to the Counseling Office to sign up for
an advising appointment with Mrs. Sophia Jackson. She will be here again on October 30.
5. Presale tickets for tonight's home football game vs Port Clinton are on
sale in the office. Cost is $5. All tickets at the gate will be $6.

Jostens will be returning to Huron High School on Tuesday, 10/29,
during lunch to take ring orders and also cap & gown orders.
7. Basketball cheer tryouts are scheduled for Tuesday, October 29th
through Thursday, October 31st. Tryouts will be held at Shawnee
Elementary. Cheer packets are available in the high school office. All
forms must be completed prior to tryouts.
8. On
Thursday, 10/31, there will be a meeting after school in the cafeteria
for those interested in going out for wrestling this year. Also, if you
are interested in being a mat maid please attend!
9. The following colleges will be visiting Huron High School in the near
future.
