1. Ripcho Studio will be here for retakes today at 9:00 AM. If you were absent on picture day in September, plan to have your picture taken today. Order forms are in the office if you need one. If you have received your pictures and are not happy with them, please remember to bring those with you so you may have your picture re-taken.

2. The Huron Interact Club is an International Service organization of 13-18 year olds sponsored by the Huron Rotary Club. To fund their first International project, the Huron Interact Club will be holding a spaghetti dinner and raffle on November 1st from 6:00-7:30 at First Presbyterian Church. Dinner tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children. Carry out is available and you do not need to be present to win a raffle prize.

3. The Huron Public Library Teen Library Council Halloween After-hours Costume Party will take place Saturday, October 24th from 6 - 10 pm. Members need to pick up a permission slip and bring it and a side dish or dessert the evening of the event. Questions? Ask Ms Carol at 419-433-5009.

4. Are you a good artist? Would you like to design this year's yearbook cover? If so, draw an original drawing on an 8.5 x 11 inch paper without lines. You must include our school name and this school year. Your drawing is due to Mrs. Brown by Friday, Oct. 30. If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Brown or Mr. Maleski.

5. Student Council will be taking orders for candy bags today during both lunches. The cost is $1 per bag, and the treats will be delivered on Friday, Oct. 30th, during study hall.

6. Today marks the end of the first quarter. Fees need to be paid, overdue library books returned, lunch fees paid, uniforms returned etc., so that your grade card is not withheld.

7. Halloween Costume Day will be Friday, October 30th. We will be partying for the Pantry. Wear your most creative costume to school, but no face masks and no toy weaponry will be allowed. Mr. Carter will review any questionable costume choices for appropriateness, so have fun, but use good judgment. $3 at the front door that Friday, October 30th will buy you the privilege to dress for the Howliday. Each homeroom will nominate their best-costumed member, and a winning 7th and 8th grader will be selected from the homeroom nominees. This is a fund-raiser for the Huron Food Pantry presented by the McCormick Junior Honor Society.

8. Cross Country team members: There will be a pizza party on Wednesday, October 28th at 4:00 at Huron Pizza House. Please make sure that you have a ride to pick you up after. We will be done at 5:00. Also, uniforms need to be washed and dropped off in Mrs. LaCrosse's room. Please make sure that your name is on the bag when you return it.
