1. TLC
members will be in each lunch period today promoting Huron Public
Library cards. Fill out your application and return it by Friday. The
first 25 students to turn in their signed application will receive a
treat!
2.
The NHS will be sponsoring a food drive next Monday - Friday, The first period class who brings in the most food will receive a bagel breakfast from the National Honor Society.
3. On November 24,
there will be a student/staff basketball game. If any student
(currently not participating in winter sports) would like to participate
in the game, there will be a sign up sheet in the cafeteria next week.

Fall athletes are reminded to remove their locker decorations today if you wanted to save that. All those left on lockers will be disposed of by the custodians tonight.
5. New Scholarship in the guidance office:
HAWTHORNE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP – Available to graduating seniors who have been
accepted into an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in the
health care field. Applications
can be submitted online at http://www.nbpeds.com/patients.html#forms6. We are holding a Cavs/Monsters toy drive at HHS THIS WEEK (Nov. 9th-13th)!!
It will be a friendly competition for a great cause. The 5th period
class who donates the most toys will win a Hot Chocolate and Cookie
treat for Friday, November 20th.
Toys do not need to be expensive, but must be NEW and UNWRAPPED. We
will come around to count and collect donations daily. Please
encourage your 5th period to donate to children in need! Let's show
them Huron has Holiday Spirit!
7. Attention: All students applying to a
college/university must complete and return the College Tracking Form into the
Guidance office at least TWO weeks before their college
application deadlines are due.
Note: Transcripts and other information
requested require at least TWO weeks for processing before they
can be sent to the college of choice.
Anything submitted to Guidance short of two weeks will not be guaranteed to
reach your college/university deadline.
8.
Seniors: Huron Rotary would like to meet you at their luncheons on
Tuesdays. If you would like to attend, please pick up a form in the
high school office. Once the form is completed and turned back into the
office we will schedule a time for you to go. We normally like to send two
at a time so you may want to partner up with a friend.
9.
The Huron Interact Club is an International Service organization of
13-18 year olds sponsored by the Huron Rotary Club. To fund their first
International project, the Huron Interact Club will be holding a
spaghetti dinner and raffle on November 22nd from 6-7:30pm
at the First Presbyterian Church. Dinner tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children.
10. Lunch today is barbecued pork sandwich or a turkey wrap.
