HURON HIGH SCHOOL
FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2015
1.  The Huron tennis team lost a close match to Port Clinton 3-2 last night.  Delaney Black had a great win at 1st singles while Katey Franks played solid tennis to capture a win at 3rd singles.

2.  Baseball Open Field will be on Sunday, August 30, at 4:30PM at Woodlands for anyone interested in working on their skills.
3.  Attention all students who may be interested in Firefighting or EMT as a future career.  The Huron Fire Department has a few openings in their Explorer program.  If you are interested, stop into the Guidance Office and see Mrs. Fahr.

4.  Attention all students interested in attending the Model UN Conference this year:  There will be a brief meeting right after school this Monday, August 31, in room 206.  See Mrs. Merckens with any questions.


5.  Any student who feels they have surpassed their community service hours could be eligible for recognition by receiving a special Spirit of Community Award. Please stop into the Guidance department for more information.

6.  Huron Public Library is looking for volunteers to help move boxes for their upcoming sale.  The time needed is Wednesday, September 9th, from 5pm-8pm, at the library.  If you need more information, please contact Nancy Smith at 419-433-0151.  This is a great way to earn community service hours.

7.  Forms to order t-shirts and hoodies to benefit the Huron Football Scholarship Fund are now available in the high school office.  Please stop by if you might be interested in ordering.  Forms are to be returned to Lucky Stone.  $5 from each purchase is donated to the football scholarship fund.

8.  Presale tickets for tonight's football game at Sandusky are on sale in the high school office.  Students are $4 and adults $6.

9.  Lunch today is bosco sticks or a toasted pizza sub.
