1. Grade cards will be withheld until fees are paid. Obligations will be observed throughout the school year and carry over to next year.

2. Are you and your parents taking extra days off at Thanksgiving time or Christmas break? A vacation form needs to be submitted to the office prior to the absence, so that the absence can be approved by Mr. Carter.

3. Sign-up sheets are ready in the office for Home Basketball Game Concessions Stand workers. Come and sign up during your Channel One time frame. All members of Academic Challenge, Art Club, National Junior Honor Society, Power of the Pen, and Student Council are obligated to sign up for two shifts. If you are a member of two or more clubs, you will sign up for three shifts. Be sure to check with your parent/guardians about the times you sign up to work because you will need a ride to school and home again after your shifts. You will be responsible for finding your own replacement worker and then telling Mrs. Aber, Mr. Haplea, or Mrs. Rowen who your replacement will be for any shift you have to miss. Remember, sign up during Channel One time.

4. Power of the Pen will meet today after school. Bring your homework paper that had you create 4 different characters. You forgot to pick up that assignment? Stop by and get the assignment from Mrs. Aber. Very soon we will have to make the selection for writers competing for points at the first tournament at the end of January. Your attendance at these meetings is important. If you are a McCormick Swim Team member with a required Friday practice, be sure to talk with Mrs. Aber.
